I am back........

I could vividly remember the day I have last posted. I know I have never lost interest to keep working in the blogging world. However, the circumstances had kept me dame busy for the days and months that I had to give much importance to my training while pursuing my Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration in Royal Institute of Management.
The friend of mine Sherab Tenzin always had a time to encourage me to blog and make some changes with regards to my post. He was the one to constantly keep pushing me to resume blogging. I always loved to write my expressions and my experiences and I would take this opportunity to thank my dear friend for your encouragements and supports whenever and wherever possible

Most importantly, I would extend my sincere apology for my readers and followers for not being able to update my blog for so long. New year, 2015 has crippled with much hope and aspirations for me to update and share my stories for my readers and followers. I also feel that I may be able to share some of my research works

The days in my office may seem busy which may restrict me to update my post. I know and always reflect back to the Oath taking that I took to serve my King, country and People with full loyalty and dedication. As one of the civil servants in the country, I am obliged to provide the best public service. Nevertheless, I will find my own time to update my blog which will also help me in one way or the other to grow intellectually.

I personally and wholeheartedly wish all my bloggers a HAPPY BLOGGING and to fully enjoy in the world of blogging. Moreover, I would not forget to thank my followers and readers for sparing your precious time to read my posts. I would like to sincere pledge to keep updating my blog hereafter and have full hope that it will give some time pass for all of you.

Royal visit to Silambi

It gave me immense pleasure and happiness to know that His Majesty the King, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk and Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen have visited my village recently. The village is one of the remotest villages in the country. Recently, Their Majesties have visited such a remote village and granted audience and Kidu to the poor families.

I know and am confident that the people had lots of hope and expectations to have audience with Their Majesties. I am very much happy and satisfied that the poor people living in such a remote place could have an audience with Their Majesties and have been able to avail the Kidu. Their Majesties have granted Kidu for the families who are unable to meet their daily expenditures and for those who had very less ancestral land. The team has also provided the mobile medical services for the people which has immensely benefited.

I know that it would have been very difficult journey for Their Majesties and the team to ply over the rough and muddy farm road. Moreover, it would have been a tough journey to walk towards the steep sloped villages. However, keeping all these difficulties aside and for the beneficial of Their people, Their Majesties visited the remotest village. Therefore, I on behalf of myself and on behalf of the poor people in Silambi would like to extend our warmest and heartiest gratitude and thankfulness to Their Majesties and the team for making the visit and granting Kidu for the people. Despite every difficulties and the challenges, the People's King always has a mind to solve every grievance of the people and  works day and night to fulfill His dream. Visiting my remote village by Their Majesties will be one of the unforgettable moments for the people of Silambi.

LONG LIVE THEIR MAJESTIES - Prayers from people of Silambi

Tribute to my College | Royal Thimphu College

My post here may seem more or less to boast my experiences gained in my stay at Royal Thimphu College, the first and only private college in Bhutan. First of all, before my readers start reading this post let me clarify in its first instant that this post is the tribute and the respect that I would like to pay to my college, the management of the college and the faculties there in the college. Moreover, I would not forget my colleagues who were vital and extremely involved with me in providing such spaces for my improvements.

It was on 5th August, 2010 when I was admitted to Royal Thimphu College after I was awarded a scholarship by Department of Adult and Higher Education under the In-Country Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme (ICUGS). It was a new world for me then comparing to the very remote places I have dwelled in the east before. Moreover it was an exciting experience to meet with wide range of friends from all walks of life.

In case of mine, college life was always a time for new and exciting experiences as well as a time to explore diverse and innovative ideas. I am actually grateful for the Royal Government of Bhutan for this initiative. Nevertheless on my behalf I took this opportunity to enhance my education and moreover a lifelong experiences. I constantly strived for excellence and I was committed to making my time as an undergraduate as productive and beneficial as possible.

Attending Royal Thimphu College always liberated me and allowed me to not only explore a wider array of subjects, but also explore myself. I will now be able to apply my new-found knowledge to my entire life. The first semester in the college was no different than my high schooling days. I could make not much difference in my life. It was just listening lectures from the lecturers, doing assignments as assigned.

But it is a different story in the next semesters then. I participated in all the events that took place in the college. I participated in most of the voluntary and social service activities. I was also an active member for the RTC Math Club for two semesters and have been the Club Coordinator for three semesters then. I have also organized three Inter Program Math Quiz Competitions which was loved and appreciated by most of the RTC family.

Out of eight hundred or more students, I was only the one to organize RCSC Preparatory Classes. I organized the class for three semesters. With the help of some of my lecturers, I helped those students who were interested in appearing the Bhutan Civil Service Examination. The unique and outstanding volunteerism of mine was appreciated by the management of the college and the students who attended the session.

In my final year, I was also a Teaching Assistant. I volunteered to work in RTC Learning Resource Center. I taught some programming languages to second year BCA students. In the centre, I was there to help the IT students solve their problems related to the course. I was fortunate to be in that centre as I have learnt so much from the students that I have tutored.

Moreover, during my final year in the college, I got selected as the Residence Assistant. As a Residence Assistant, my work was to create a positive environment by fostering a sense of community within the residence halls, by providing help and assistance to students, and by working with students and staff to ensure the best possible operation of the residence halls. We were considered as valuable members of the college whose work helped to develop a residential environment conducive to RTC students’ academic and personal growth. Therefore, the college is proud for us who enabled it to provide its student with residential services and facilities of the college to the fullest.

In terms of my primary duty as a scholarship, I demonstrated excellently in my studies in all semesters. It can be authenticated by different levels of certificates that I have secured in Dean’s List and the Director’s List for every semester which were awarded in recognition of excellent academic achievement.

Strengths that I have gained after being in the college are exemplary leadership and social skills. These experiences will now train me to unearth creative solutions to challenges, organize my experiences in the community for the purposes of both. Now as I go on with the actual way of life ahead, I hope to become an instrumental member of society, using all of my energies to bring about constructive change and create a path to the “good life,” not only for myself but also for others.

Thanks for Department of Adult and Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Royal Government of Bhutan for offering scholarship for me.

A sad story of Rigden

This is the true story of my friend who studies in Sherubtse College. I share this with the prior permission from the friend of mine. He is in his final semester and same is with the girl he loves. The time went by. Three years has past within no time for Rigden, but sadly he could not express what he felt for this long years for Namgay, the girl of his choice. In his final year and specifically in his final semester, he took his chance and courage to share his feelings for her. It wasn't a good try and a good outcome irrespective of so much hope that he had from Namgay. So, my heart was heavy and my eyes were filled with tear when Rigden shared his story to me with so much courage and respect. So, I would like to share this true and heart touching story for all of my readers.
Some say life is bed of roses. Others say life is what you make out of it. Many say life is a stage in a cycle of karma. But for a poor guy, Rigden he could not say anything of its kind for his own life. He sometimes defines life to be tragic, sometimes agony, sometimes fun, sometimes undefinable existence in this world of everything. He sad so much hope from Namgay. He spent almost all fractions of second in his college days thinking of her. No matter what it was himself who had to bear an agonizing pain for so long. He blames no one but himself for not being able to express what he felt.

Towards the end of his college life, he felt that was only the chance in his life to express himself to her. He felt it's just and exhilarating parasite of pain that he may have to bear his whole life if he is unable to tell Namgay. Facebook was only the mode of communication for them. He had her number but his hesitation was huge that he refused to do so. Nevertheless, he expressed his feelings to her through the chats in Facebook. When I asked about how they were into friend list through Facebook, my poor friend in laughter said that he could vividly remember how did it happened.

"For the first few chats, it was normal. I expressed but she just took it into a joke. But later days were not very good response", my friend explained me with a soft tone. He said that he could not believe her when she that she has to follow an age-old culture and tradition of so called "Arranged Marriage". He said "she was good enough if she would have told truth for me, she said she doesn't want to flirt with me and hurt me later when eventually she has to follow advise of her parents." I myself could not bear the pain of my friend yet, I tried to console him in all my possible ways.

Then he shares all his secrets to me. He said he still feels bad on himself when he shared his conversation through chats in Facebook: "It’s true that I am unable to help you like other boys would do for their loved ones. It’s true that am from a very low background. It’s true that I am not a good looking man either. Sometimes late on my bed I always wish myself to have the above qualities. Actually I too have a mind to be good, to make you happy and help you in all possible ways. What to do my dear, my wish is always unfulfilled as I could do nothing to make you believe that I am a true man in your life.

My wish as you know was to die in your arms gazing to your eyes but it is not fulfilled. No matter, live your life happily and meaningfully. I pray for your happiness only.

I could share no more as I get more emotional and sentimental as I express. Think wisely but my last wish for you now is to be happy and be a good human being."  He explained me that even Namgay could not take such words and for she cried. Later Rigden called her but it was in her sad tone she talked to him. He apologized her for expressing what he felt for her and he promised not to do so. He promised to keep his secrets all in himself whether an exhilarating pain erodes his heart or not.

Lastly, he told me "Be careful friend. Life is short but it becomes so long if it turn the way like it did in mine."

MAY MY FRIEND BE IN BE IN PEACE AGAIN.

Things happen unexpectedly.........

First of all when I write my post on aforementioned subject, I wonder that my readers may mistake it to be because of a boy_girl relationship. So before I get too late and my readers get too stimulated to think about it, let me say the answer will be a big NO.

It is always easy to lecture to someone. It is the most easiest to advise someone about something. You may or may not be expert in that particular ground. Still you can be the one to talk about that particular topic. There is no different in my case. I can also advise any group of ages of people in any grounds. I can pursue and make people believe in me. But when it comes to practice, I feel it is really difficult. When I say this, I don't mean that I am too pessimistic or too optimistic but I wanna be realistic in this issue.

It is really difficult and challenging when the river changes its course. Its is heart aching when a bird flies away leaving the chicks all alone in the nest. Moreover, we have to bear an exhilarating pain when things happen unexpectedly. In this very juncture, it is very hard for me to express anything here in my post which goes globally in the net. Yet, I feel the need to do so, so that I think the pain of keeping my words that are competing to come out in my heart may be relieved.

I know that education is really important in life. I also very well know that nothing can suffice it. With this notion, I got an opportunity to pursue my undergraduate studies in Royal Thimphu College. Having been here for almost three years now and nearing towards my graduation, I also know the importance of my grades. As all the graduates might be knowing the tight space work in the civil service of the Royal Government of Bhutan, I also understand the unemployment rate in Bhutan.

So, with that in the cerebrum of my brain I always worked hard. I burnt my midnight candles besides the other social service works that I always had to do. Irrespective of having planned accordingly and having worked hard to achieve my personal goal of "work hard and strive to be best", nowadays all things happen unexpectedly. I cry, I yarn and sometimes even my blood try to flow out of my veins, I try to console myself. Its really tough and challenging to do so, yet there is no other way left than to just keep calm an enduring it with respect.

I sometimes feel where do things go wrong? I question myself, where did I plan wrong? But all answers were just a time-consuming; I could find answer to none of them. I lay on my bed, then think of the purpose of life. I take life to be just a body and a mind sometimes. I feel mind will leave my body one day and there is no much to worry. Moreover, life being full of ups and downs, it is pretty sure all things won't be perfect.

This post of mine is actually not intended to share what I have faced but I wanna share the message to all my readers: All are impermanent. Life is not permanent too. Do not waste your time indulging upon those impermanence. AND NOTHING IS PERFECT TOO.

My Mother's illness

January 2, 2013 at around 7:00 AM, when i was still in my deep sleep I got several calls from my sister Sonam. It was very irritating for me to pick up the call at that very early in the morning as I don’t receive calls from anyone at that point of time. Later I also got several calls fro my brother in-low. I received the call then whereby I came to know that my mom was in her last breathe. I didn’t know what to do. By the time I realized, the cold tear started rolling down my cheeks. I could neither move nor do anything at that very moment. No sooner I was in that situation then I again got call from my sister saying that mom was in her sense again.

Then fearing that my mom might have left me all alone in this world, I forced my sister to hand over the phone to my mom. Then my mother said “Where are you? I have really missed you. I would love to meet you if you can come here” in her very slow tone. I could not control my heart no longer. I started crying. I could not hold my phone anymore. Nevertheless, I controlled my self and started to find vehicle towards Mongar. Since it was the time for the school students to leave for their break, I could not find any passenger carriers. Then, I didn’t give up, I went towards Semtokha junction to stop each and every vehicle that moved towards Dochula.

That time was the time when all people rushed towards Punakha to receive teachings and blessings from Je-Khenpo (the Chief Abbot). Some of them ignored me, yet some agreed to take till Punakha. I waited until a taxi came searching passenger towards Bumthang. Fortunate enough, I traveled till Bumthang when the world enjoyed their new year eve’s party, dances and drinks. Again I had to worry about the vehicle which took me till I reach and see my mom. Again I was fortunate enough and I can say God blessed me, where I found another taxi that traveled towards Mongar.

I reached Mongar at around 4:00PM. When i went inside my sister’s house, an unusual feeling passed through my head which nearly fainted me. I entered the house and found my mom lying on the bed. She was no different than a dead body that is kept in the graveyard for the funeral in next few minutes. She was not in her sense and she could not recognize me. I fainted then and don’t remember what happened. My mother was not talking for me for almost one and half day. She was out of her sense. She caught my hands and tried to speak to me, yet the illness stopped her in doing so.

The next day when she came to the sense, she called me and said ” When did you come? I missed you so much. I could no longer bear my pain. I am dying” and she fainted again and lost her senses again. We all cried. We called all people around. They all said “She waited just for you. She will not return now. She was always finding and calling you”. I could not believe them thinking that was not the right time for my mom to leave me. My heart ached, tear rolled down, I could no more control my heart. All were consoling me but just in vain. Nevertheless, she again came to her senses after three – four hours. That she talked with me in her soft tone. she could not talk properly. And she was in her sense almost for two days then.

My brothers reached there in two days when my mom again lost her senses. She was not in her sense for more that 24 hours then. All the families gathered then. All people said “She might have waited for all of you to gather”. And I think they were true in saying so because health professionals said that they were unable to know anything about her disease. And even great Lamas said that it would be very difficult for her to get well. Then when my mom came in her sense she called all of us and said “I could not bear my pain any more. Please be happy and be cooperative to each other. Do cry and be sad thinking that I have left you all. You all have grown up now. Some leave when their child is still an infant. I will not leave any attachments. All of have tried to save me. You brought me to the hospital and did all rituals. I could not live anymore, its my fault. Don’t cry” and she fainted again. We all cried and could no more control our hearts when our mom tried to leave us. Then she lost heat in her body. There was breathe just in her lungs.

I believe in God, God is always there. My mother came in her sense after two days after which she could not even breath. We continued performing rituals every now and then. We went to every Lama, Pow and Pamo (Shaman). We did all things need to be done. My mother then started to improve. She then asked for water. Then for tea and porridge. Now my mother is somewhat well and I am happy for that. I can now be able to help my mom and dad in my possible ways as soon as I get employed.MAY MY MOM LIVE LONGER! MY PRAYERS ARE ALWAYS FOR THE BEST MOM IN THIS WORLD.
